What are the differences between the 8-zone and 10-zone reflow ovens?

I. Division of temperature control areas
8-zone reflow furnace: usually includes zone 1 hot air zone 1, zone 2 hot air zone 2, zone 3 preheating zone, zone 4 melting zone, zone 5 hot air confluence zone, zone 6 cooling zone 1, zone 7 cooling zone 2, and zone 8 exit zone. 10-zone reflow furnace: further refines the temperature control zones, including the entrance zone, the preheating zone, the drying zone, the hot air zone, the reflow zone, the pre-cooling zone, the cooling zone, the exit zone, and the exhaust zone. This more complex temperature distribution helps to more finely control the temperature profile during welding.

II. Precision of temperature curve
8 temperature zone: temperature control is relatively simple, with fewer control parameters, suitable for most conventional electronic manufacturing welding requirements. However, in terms of controlling the welding curve and ensuring the quality of welding, it may not be as precise as the 10 temperature zones.

10 temperature zone: The temperature control is more refined, which can more accurately control the temperature curve of the solder joint, thereby optimizing the welding quality and reliability. This fine control is particularly important for high-precision welding or scenarios with extremely high requirements for product quality.

Temperature zone 10: Due to the large number of control parameters and more complex equipment structure, higher technical requirements and more maintenance costs are required. This may be a factor that needs to be considered for some enterprises that have high requirements for technical strength and maintenance capabilities.
